CORCORAN — Sierra Pacific didn’t need a comeback or walk-off hit this time as they thoroughly defeated East Sequoia League opponent Corcoran 18-6 in six innings on Friday.

McKenna Randell and Ashlyn Martinez each collected three hits at the plate. Randell had four RBIs and two runs, while Martinez drove in two and scored twice.

Mikayla Hoggard, Arianna Chavarin, Lauren Simas and Lauren Alarcon added two hits apiece. Bryn Frauenheim homered in the second inning — her first of the year — and helped the Golden Bears grab a 4-0 lead.

Sierra Pacific then added five more in the fourth, three in the fifth and six in the sixth, which clinched the game. After starting league 4-0, Corcoran has lost three ESL games in a row with two of them to the Golden Bears.

Sierra Pacific pitcher Lauren Alarcon allowed four earned runs on 10 hits in six innings. She walked one and struck out one. It was the fourth time in the last five games the Golden Bears put up double-digit runs.

The Golden Bears stay in first in the ESL and have scored 29 more runs than any other ESL team, while allowing a league-low 35 runs for a +71 run differential.

Sierra Pacific (7-13-1, 5-1 ESL) has a road matchup against Lindsay (7-10, 4-2 ESL) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. The Cardinals are sitting in third in the ESL and lost to Woodlake 12-6 on Friday.
