SELMA – Joshua Joseph Hernandez, 26, of Selma, was arrested on suspicion of homicide by the Selma Police Department in connection with the death of Cory Smith, 25.
Police officers first responded to a 911 call shortly after 5:30 a.m. on March 6 to the 2500 block of McCall Avenue. Smith was found suffering from apparent stab wounds and was rushed to a local hospital. He died from his injuries.
After investigating, Selma Police officers arrested Hernandez on suspicion of homicide. Hernandez had been taken into custody earlier for probation violations related to this case. The additional allegations were added late March 12.
