As a second generation farmer in the Central Valley who has seen firsthand the effects of bureaucratic red tape, I felt compelled to response to Jacqueline Lowe's letter.
David Valadao has been among the strongest advocates for our farming families in the Central Valley. His service to the Valley has been marked by strong ongoing support for increased access to water for the farms and communities in our region, all the while working to improve conditions for farmers being squeezed by bureaucratic red tape. Congressman Valadao's vote for tax reform has eased financial burdens on families across the Valley, improved take-home pay, and allowed farmers to hire more workers.
In the past year, Congressman Valadao has passed a workable, common sense solution to our water problems off the House floor – the GROW Act (H.R. 23). While the House approved the GROW Act, Senators Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris continue to stand in the way of its passage in the Senate.
Can you guess who is relying on Senators Feinstein and Harris's support? TJ Cox.
When asking who has the backs of our farming families in the Valley, the answer is simple: it's David Valadao. He's one of us.
