The Hanford City Council meets inside the Hanford Civic Auditorium.

HANFORD — The Hanford Planning Commission, which advises on the city’s physical development and zoning, will have a continuation Tuesday of a public hearing it started at its last regular meeting on April 23.

This item is a request to amend the city’s municipal code to permit businesses like colleges; exercise studios; large health facilities; business support services; medical offices; professional and commercial offices; laboratories; furniture stores and food catering in the Regional Commercial zone district.

Zoning changes such as these could have an effect on downtown Hanford’s business district.
