Paul L. Keithly
April 15, 1941-February 3, 2019
On Sunday, February 3, 2019, the Almighty God in his infinite mercy called his angel home, Paul L. Keithly, at the age of 77, to rest in a land that is free from sickness and pain.
Paul was born April 15, 1941, in Los Angeles, California to his parents, Earl and Jean Keithly. He is proceeded in death by his father Earl Keithly, mother Jean Keithly, and one brother David Keithly.
Paul attended Franklin Roosevelt High school, in Los Angeles, CA. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force for four years. After discharge from the Air Force, Paul worked for the Southern California Gas Company for 35 years. Upon retiring from Southern California Gas Company, he continued serving others by working at the Valley Christian Home maintaining the building and driving residents to appointments. He also served on the Board of Directors at the Valley Christian Home and Western Christian School. He was a dedicated elder and leader at the Hanford Church of Christ up until his failing health in 2016.
He had a life long love affair with hot hot coffee, pumpkin pie, Hershey chocolate with almonds, football and his beloved dogs. He loved taking his family camping and on car trips throughout the United States. He had a love of cars and motorcyles in his youth. But, most of all, Paul had a passion of humbly serving the Lord and others.
Throughout his life, Paul lived with an untiring and kind heart. He extended the hand of friendship to whomever he met. His quiet confidence was only second to the kindness and selflessness he showed in helping others. Paul enriched the lives of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Though he has passed from us in this moment, his cherished memory will live with us forever. He will be missed more than words can say.
Paul will always reside in the hearts and minds of his wife Jeannie, daughter Darlene Cederborg, son-in-law Mark Cederborg, daughter Karen Beasley, son-in-law David Beasley, son Paul Keithly Jr., and 5 grandchildren Matthew, Samantha, Nicole, Katelyn and Kristen. Ten years ago, Paul was blessed with three more grandchildren Leah, David and Erik, when Karen married David. A few years later, he was blessed with four great grandchildren, Jose, Everly, Sienna and Lucas. Paul will also be missed by his sister Barbara Fraser and brother Arthur Keithly.
