Jeff was born March 31, 1955 in Hanford, California to Richard and Florence (Avila) Brown. The second of six children, Jeff grew up working on his family's dairy farm and developed a lifelong love of agriculture. A 1973 graduate of Hanford High School, Jeff enjoyed a nearly five decade long career as a third-generation dairyman and farmer. Jeff worked alongside his late grandfather Mike, his late father Richard, his brother Randall and his sons Matthew and Jordan; Brown's Dairy was truly a family endeavor.
Jeff is survived by his three children, Alicia Brown and husband Nathan Newman of Wilmette, Illinois, Matthew Brown and wife Laura of Hanford, Jordan Brown and wife Colleen of Hanford, and his five grandchildren, Evelyn and Max Newman, Benjamin and Kate Brown, and Alexandra Brown. Jeff is survived by his loving companion Bette Wanzer of Visalia, her daughter Krista Rollin and husband Harold, her daughter Sara Portugal and husband Ryan, and her grandchildren Clark and Cambria Rollin and AJ Portugal. Jeff is also survived by his former spouse, Marcia Brown.

Jeff is additionally survived by his brother Randall Brown and wife Candis, his sister Susan Amoroso and husband Jack, his sister Terri Van Workum and husband Bill, and his nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Florence and his brothers Richard and David.
Jeff was an avid sports fan and enjoyed many years of coaching youth sports and attending sporting events with his sons Matthew and Jordan and his brother Randall. He was a founding member of Hanford National Junior Basketball Association. Jeff served as the president and for many years on the board of the Dairy Herd Improvement Association.
On Thursday, May 23, 2019 the rosary will be held at St. Brigid Church in Hanford at 6:00pm with a viewing at 5:00pm. The funeral mass will also be held at St. Brigid Church on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 10:30am. The graveside service will be at Grangeville Cemetery immediately after. The Hanford Fraternal Hall will be open at 12:30pm following the burial for family and friends to gather for lunch.
