Ivalee Frances Smith
May 12, 1919 - November 18, 2018
Ivalee Smith was born on May 12, 1919, in Yukon, Oklahoma to her loving parents, Roy and Ruby (Wallace) Christman. She was called to her Heavenly Father's home on Sunday November 18, 2018, at age of 99.
She lost her mother at the age of 11. She and her two younger sisters and her younger brother were raised by her older sister Ruby who was only 13 at the time.
She met the love of her life Clayton Smith early 1937 and they were married on September 1, 1937. They had two sons, Larry and Johnny, and a daughter Nancy Kay. They moved to California in early 1942 and settled in Fresno County area. Ivalee was a retail sales clerk for 50 years. She was a remarkable lady who touched many lives in Selma.
Ivalee was preceded in death by her husband Clayton, son Larry, and daughter Nancy Kay. Three sisters Ruby Kerns, Mary (Chris) Johnson, Ruth Osburn, brother Wallace (Wally) Christman, and her parents.
She is survived by her son Johnny Smith and wife Carol of Selma, granddaughter Karla Reinhart and husband Jim of Williams, OR. Grandson Shawn Smith and wife Kathy Ann of Selma. Great-grandson Brandon Kestly and wife Emily of Marysville, CA, great-granddaughter Kristen Rivera and husband Manuel of Williams, OR, great-granddaughter Amanda Santos and husband Richard of Fowler, CA, great-granddaughter Cheyenne Smith of Selma. Great-great grandchildren Fernando Gonzalez, Mattie and Chevelle Rivera.
Chapel Service will be Monday, December 3, 2018, 9 am at Thomas Marcom Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Selma Cemetery District at 10 am. Thomas Marcom Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Smith Family.
