Bryan Christopher Calhoun
June 1, 1977 - November 21, 2018
Life Is Beautiful
Bryan was born in Fresno, CA on June 1, 1977 and lived a full life until The Lord called him home on November 21, 2018. He grew up in Selma, CA and was a Selma Bear who excelled in sports and Ag. While in high school, he purchased a 1966 Ford Mustang which he took such pride in. He said he'd keep it until the day he died.
Bryan graduated from Fresno State with a degree in communications. He was an entrepreneur at heart and his mind was always thinking. He started a car detailing business to work his way through college. Then he discovered one of his gifts, cooking. Bryan was a talented chef and worked in food service. He loved his job at Sunnyside Deli and his salads were legendary! He loved to make soups in the winter and ice cream in the summer.
Bryan met the love of his life, Salena on December 26, 2015 through mutual friends. He eventually won her over and since then they were never apart. They traveled together and had many adventures. She was the light and love of Bryan's life.
Bryan took pride in his appearance. Everyone who knew him knew that he was Mr. GQ or ‘Preppy', which was one of his nicknames. Bryan never met a stranger and was generous beyond compare. He loved quotes, one of his favorites was “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars!”
Bryan's family was especially important to him and he had more friends than one could count. He loved spending time at home with them, watching his nephews play sports, listening to music, going to concerts, and having a drink with friends.
Bryan is survived by Salena, his parents; Paula and Tim Bruner & Bill and Kathy Calhoun, his brother Michael, stepsisters: Diane and Debbie, his niece & nephews; Jacob, Caleb, Carter, & Kaylee, his family and his friends.
Bryan was somebody who made everybody feel like somebody. He will be deeply missed, and will forever be in our hearts.
