SACRAMENTO — Gov. Jerry Brown has appointed a Hanford woman to the State Interagency Coordinating Council on Early Intervention.

Michelle Dove, child development coordinator for the Kings Community Action Organization’s Head Start program, received the appointment last month. Dove has worked for KCAO since 2001 and is a member of the National Association for Family Child Care, National Head Start Association and the Kings County Local Child Care Planning Council.

The coordinating council advises and assists the state Department of Developmental Services. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation.
