ALLENSWORTH — The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a homicide victim who was recently murdered in Allensworth.
Deputies said the man was found dead in an orchard on April 2 in the area of Avenue 24 and Road 84 in Allensworth. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit began a homicide investigation thereafter.
On April 4, the Sheriff's office completed an autopsy on the victim and determined the cause of death to be a single gunshot wound to the upper torso, officials said.
Investigators said they are working with the Mexican Consulate in attempts to positively identify the victim or the victim’s family. The victim has used several aliases and investigators have yet to identify a next of kin.
The 40-year-old man went by several aliases, including:
- Trinidad Rodriguez Yepes
- Trinidad Guevara
- Trinidad Rodriguez
- Trinidad Yepes
