HANFORD — Investigators are still trying to locate a missing car and suspect after a man jumped inside a vehicle, stabbed the driver and stole his car over the weekend.

Hanford Police Department officials said a 21-year-old man was driving his silver 2007 Infiniti in the area of the 1000 block of East Terrace Drive on Saturday when another man got into the passenger side of the vehicle and stabbed the driver multiple times.

Police said the victim ran from his vehicle to a nearby residence to get help and was later transported to Community Regional Medical Center with life threatening injuries. Police said he is now in stable condition. 

Officers said the suspect stole the car and they have not yet found him or the car. 

Investigators said they are  following up on leads to positively identify the suspect, and are looking for 21-year-old Gabriel Flores in connection with the incident.
