HANFORD — Hanford Police have arrested an 18-year-old man who allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl during vacation bible camp, officials said.
On July 2, Hanford Police officers said they were dispatched to investigate a possible rape involving a 15-year-old girl.
During the investigation, police said they learned 18-year-old Crispin Ricablanca approached the girl on June 27 in the women’s restroom at Koinonia Church during vacation bible camp.
Officials said Ricablanca and the girl were familiar with each other from their interaction at the camp. During this encounter in the restroom, police said the suspect performed numerous sex acts on the victim against her will.
Following the investigation, authorities said Ricablanca was arrested and booked into the Kings County Jail on suspicion of three counts of oral copulation by means of force, three counts of rape by means of force, three counts of sodomy by means of force and one count of sexual penetration by means of force.
Ricablanca’s bail was set at $775,000.
