LEMOORE — One man has been arrested for violating his probation terms after Lemoore police conducted citywide compliance searches, officials said.
On Thursday, the Lemoore Police Department said its Problem Oriented Policing team and assisting Kings County agencies conducted probation and parole compliance searches throughout the city.
Police said the searches were conducted in an effort to check if subjects were adhering to their probation or parole terms and conditions.
Officers said they contacted 31-year-old Irwing Fabian Paez-Ortiz at his residence, and during the search, they located drug paraphernalia belonging to Paez-Ortiz.
He was also found to be under the influence of a controlled substance, which officials said is a violation of his probation terms and conditions.
Authorities said Paez-Ortiz was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Kings County Jail, where he was booked on suspicion of violating his probation, possessing drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Police said Paez-Ortiz is currently being held without bail.
