Hanford police are searching for this man as a suspect in an attempted break-in.

HANFORD — The Hanford Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a prowler who attempted to break into a home over the weekend.

Just after midnight on Sunday, Hanford police said they were dispatched to the 2000 Block of Freedom Street regarding a prowler call.

Officials said officers received information from a juvenile reporting party stating they heard what appeared to be glass breaking coming from a front bedroom window.

Upon officers’ arrival, they found two front windows were broken and it appeared the suspect attempted to pry off a window screen in an attempt to break into the house, police said

Authorities said officers were able to obtain a possible suspect photo and conducted a canvass of the area, but didn’t find anyone.

If anyone has information on the identity of the prowler, they are asked to contact Officer Saige Lopez at slopez@cityofhanfordca.com or 585-2535.
