LEMOORE — Lemoore Police Department officials said they are investigating a drug-related shooting after drugs were found in a residence that was shot at on Friday.

Around 3:10 a.m., police were dispatched to the 100 block of Locust St. regarding gunshots being heard in the area.

Patrol officers responded to the scene and land said they located a residence which had been struck by several bullets.

Officials said the bullets narrowly missed all occupants inside the residence, which included a young child. They said neighbors in the area described a dark-colored compact car leaving the scene at a high rate of speed.

Around 1:30 p.m., detectives and the Kings County Major Crime Task Force served a search warrant at the residence that was struck by bullets during the shooting in order to retrieve those bullets that had penetrated into the walls, officials said.

During the search of the residence, investigators said they found items inside the home which led them to believe drug sales were being conducted from within.

Investigators said 12.23 pounds of marijuana, ½ an ounce of concentrated cannabis, a shotgun, shotgun ammunition, 214 ecstasy pills and packaging material were seized during the search. They said the ecstasy pills tested positive for MDMA — a synthetic drug that alters mood and perception — and methamphetamine.

LPD detectives said they are currently investigating this incident as a drug-related shooting.

The residents of the house were identified as 18-year-old Ryan Lawrence Goleman and 20-year-old Jared Michael Montoya, officers said.

Authorities said Goleman was placed under arrest on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sales, conspiracy to commit a crime and child endangerment.

They said Montoya was placed under arrest for suspicion of possession of marijuana for sales, possession of ecstasy for sale, conspiracy to commit a crime and child endangerment.

The Lemoore Police Department is asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact detectives at 924-9574.
