LEMOORE — Two men from Bakersfield were arrested in Lemoore over the weekend for their involvement in a string of burglaries, Lemoore Police Department officials said.

Around 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, Lemoore Police officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Leisure Drive regarding a suspicious vehicle driving around the neighborhood and possibly casing the area. Officers said they were later informed that one suspect was driving and a second suspect was checking vehicles to see if they were unlocked.

Police said the suspect vehicle was described as a white Nissan Altima. Officers arrived on scene in less than a minute and said they located a vehicle matching the description.

The vehicle was stopped and officials said two male subjects, 35-year-old Anthony Vallejo and 39-year-old Bryce William Gentry, both from Bakersfield, were detained. They said burglary tools, narcotics, weapons and drug paraphernalia were recovered from the vehicle.

At 4:30 a.m., authorities said LPD officers were dispatched to the Lemoore Golf Course in the same area for a burglar alarm. Officers responded to the golf course and found that it had been broken into and miscellaneous items had been stolen.

Through the course of the investigation, officers said they learned that the burglar alarm had been delayed. They said the two men in the white Nissan Altima were identified as the suspects of both a residential burglary in the 900 block of Leisure Drive and the commercial burglary at Lemoore Golf Course.

Police said Vallejo was arrested and booked at the Kings County Jail on suspicion of possession of a sap or similar weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, possession of burglary tools, illegal possession of prescription medicine, driving under the influence, driving while unlicensed, possession of marijuana while driving and bringing a controlled substance into the jail.

Authorities said Gentry was arrested and booked into the Kings County Jail on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, burglary, possession of methamphetamine, conspiracy to commit a crime and falsely impersonating another.
