LINDSAY — It’s never too early to get into the St. Paddy’s Day spirit.
Bay Area Celtic rockers, Tempest, return to the Central valley to kick off their 2019 concert season. They will be playing for the sixth time at the Lindsay Community Theater at 7:30 p.m. Sat, Jan 19.
Tempest plays folk rock with a decidedly Celtic flavor. Since forming in 1988, Tempest has delivered a globally-renowned hybrid of high-energy folk rock fusing Irish reels, Scottish ballads, Norwegian influences and other world music elements.
The last 28 years have seen the Bay Area-based act release fifteen critically acclaimed albums and play more than 2,000 gigs. Their latest album, “Another Dawn,” showcases inventive original and traditional material.
The Santa Cruz-based publication Good Times said Tempest “has one of the most unique sounds around, a sound that bridges two continents, one ocean and about a millennium of music history – a sound that has earned Tempest a loyal following that packs houses coast to coast.
