HANFORD — Get ready for some boot scootin’ boogie.
While it’s technically been open for a couple of weeks, Boot Barn had its official grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday at its Hanford Mall location.
Boot Barn employees, Hanford Mall officials and members of the Hanford Chamber of Commerce gathered to cut the ribbon and welcome customers into the store.
Ken Meany founded the company in 1978 in Huntington Beach and the business now boasts more than 230 stores in 31 states, including several stores in the Central Valley.
Boot Barn in Hanford occupies a portion of the former Forever 21 space at the mall, taking up approximately 10,000 square feet.
Aside from boots, the store carries hats, western wear like jeans, shirts and other clothing, gifts and home décor. There will be sales throughout the weekend commemorating the grand opening.
