The Beach Boys will perform in Visalia next month.

HANFORD — It’s been a whirlwind week for local fans of actor and musician John Stamos.

It was announced on Feb. 13 that the Beach Boys would be performing at the Visalia Fox Theatre on Thursday, March 1, — with Stamos as the guest drummer.

However, a few days later, concert organizers were informed that while The Beach Boys will still be stopping in Visalia on their tour, Stamos would not be coming with them.

“[Stamos] had to cancel his dates with the Beach Boys due to circumstances unknown to us,” Hanford Fox officials posted in a comment on Facebook. The Hanford Fox Theatre is co-promoting the Beach Boys concert.

Stamos, known for starring in the long-running sitcom “Full House,” and less known for so-bad-it’s-good cult classic, “Never Too Young to Die,” has been performing occasionally with the Beach Boys since the late ‘80s. He has appeared with them in concert, on recordings and in their music videos.
