LEMOORE — At the Lemoore City Council meeting Tuesday, there is to be the fourth hearing for the public on moving to voting districts and a public input session on the city manager’s position.
In the Feb. 6 meeting, the Council favored maps 102 and 104. Since then, a new map, 105, has been added by public submission, which closed Feb. 11. The Council will discuss the three maps and possibly vote for a single map.
At the beginning of the closed session meeting at 5:30 p.m., the public will be able to comment on the appointment of a city manager and other items on the closed session agenda. During the regular session at 7:30 p.m., there will be more discussion and a vote on the approval of an employment contract for a city manager.
Currently, Nathan Olson is serving as the interim city manager. He previously was the public works director.
Along with discussing the appointment of the city manager, the City Council will discuss existing and anticipated litigation during closed session.
At 7 p.m. there will be a study session about a wastewater contract between Leprino, Sandridge and the city.
Toward the beginning of the regular session, retired Lemoore fire Chief John Gibson and Police Athletic League’s (PAL) wrestling coaches will be recognized. There will also be the introduction of PAL’s Olympic Weightlifting Program.
