Bing Predicts winner: Gonzaga (62 percent)
Opening line: TBD
Tipoff time: 9 p.m. EST (April 3)
Bing has North Carolina back in the national title game for the second consecutive year and 11th time in program history, making it one of the best college basketball programs of all time. Gonzaga is in uncharted waters in the Final Four, but it has become a legitimate powerhouse in the modern game despite playing in a remote part of the country in a mid-major conference. It's a classic Old Money vs. New Money showdown.
With Karnowski and Williams, Gonzaga has the size to match up with the Tar Heels inside. Karnowski is a skilled passer, particularly from the high post, while Williams has the quickness necessary to cut to open spots. North Carolina's guards have more length than Gonzaga's, and Jackson's combination of size and shooting ability would be difficult for the Bulldogs to contend with.
North Carolina would have the advantage of playing in this game before, as six current players -- Meeks, Jackson, Hicks, Joel Berry II, Theo Pinson and Nate Britt -- appeared in last year's national championship game. Gonzaga has never made it this far in the Big Dance before, but it still has a veteran roster, with four upperclassmen starters.
This matchup would pit two experienced, talented squads in what should be a wildly competitive game. Despite having redemption on the mind, Bing likes the Bulldogs to send the Tar Heels into heartbreak for the second year in a row. After years of having March Madness runs end in tears, Gonzaga is your 2017 national champion.
