Kingsburg Chamber: Awards dinner

Larry Esau was named as the Kingsburg Chamber of Commerce's Citizen of the Year in 2016. Maxine Olson was the 2017 recipient of the honor. This year's awards banquet is Feb. 15.

KINGSBURG – Kingsburg’s Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its annual Awards Banquet which takes place at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Historical Park’s Social Hall. Tickets are also on sale for the event.

The Chamber will recognize citizens for making significant civic contributions to the betterment of life in Kingsburg. Citizens will be recognized in the following categories: Citizen of the Year, Junior Citizen of the Year, Educator of the Year, Public Safety/Emergency Service Employee of the Year, Recycler of the Year and Business of the Year. Two new categories are Agriculturist of the Year and Agriculture Business of the Year.

Those interested in sponsoring the event may do so at various levels. Title sponsorship is $400 and includes eight dinners, two bottles of wine and listing in the program. Civic sponsorship is $125 and includes two dinners and a mention in the program. Tickets are $45. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. Dinner is at 6:30 p.m. A full house is anticipated and early reservations are suggested.
