Lawrence (Candy) Valdez also known as "The Dancing Man" is in his 90's now and wishes to cut back on his daily busy schedule. Instead of dancing three nights a week, he will be dancing only one night per week.
Also, he has just announced that he will no longer be attending the weekly meetings with us at "Remington Ramblers Writers Group" but will continue writing stories for the Hanford writers group held by Richard Neill. This news came as a complete shock to us, ("The Remington Ramblers") who look forward to hearing his great stories each week. He has been a loyal and dependable writer for us and he will be missed very, very much.
His news, along with the news of Jack Swortz passing in November, was heartbreaking, as well as our recent news that Evie Smales and Helen Kovarsky have relocated to other living quarters and will no longer be with us. You can imagine how sad our writers group is taking all these unexpected changes.
For so long we have enjoyed writing and submitting our stories to the Hanford Sentinel who proudly published them for us. So, now, "To our Hanford readers", we will continue sending our stories for you , with our remaining members Gene Raineri, Bob Hardgrave, (who is another great writer, loyal and dependable), David Krumpe, Helen Ribera, Dolores Morgan and Michael Poole and Myself. Our hope is that once again we will be submitting some new and interesting stories for your continued enjoyment.
