BINGO PRESENTED by HANFORD SENIOR CITIZENS INC  Players must be 18 years of age. At 426 W LACEY BLVD Hanford . We’re having fun at Bingo!  Bingo is played every Monday and Friday. Monday Doors open at 10am, snacks at 11.30am and games start at 11:45am and go to 3pm.  Friday doors open at 3pm, snacks at 5:30pm and games start at 6:00pm and go to 9pm. We are looking for volunteers to work at Bingo, would you like to be a caller?  Stop at Bingo and talk to Gail or call Gail at 904-5019.

Dances presented by Hanford Senior Citizens Inc at the Hanford Veterans/Seniors building upstairs hall (elevator to right of stairs), at 401 N Irwin St Hanford. We have dances on the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th Wednesday each month. Udderly Improv will take place every 2nd Friday at the Hanford Carnegie Meuseum. (Instead of the second Friday of the month) The event starts at 8 p.m. Every 2nd Friday HMTC will do improv at the Hanford Carnegie Museum at 8pm. This will be a regular occurrence and it is free. Also, we are in the Calendar for free acting classes. Starting Jan 9, free acting classes will be at the Hanford Carnegie Museum.

FREE ACTING and IMPROVISATION CLASSES sponsored by Hanford Multicultural Theater Company every Wednesday.  5pm for kids up to 12. Teens/adults at 6PM, and 7PM for adults. Held at the Hanford Carnegie Museum.

Third Wednesday  luncheon: Wednesday, noon, Armona United Methodist Church, 14013 Hanford Armona Road. Armona United Methodist Church hosts a luncheon in the church social hall. The menu varies per month (it is more than one person can eat!). Cost is $8 per person. Come and enjoy the food and fellowship with your friends. Take outs are available by calling the church at 584-8340 on Wednesday morning.

Friday Night Music is held every Friday at 6:00pm at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Lemoore. The address is 411 West D St. Senior Acoustical musicians get together and play  and there is open Mic for singers.  There is a pot luck, so bring your favorite dish. Children’s Storybook Garden & Museum is now registering for summer camp. An educational, hands-on summer camp experience for ages three to 12. Different themes every week. Discounts for members and famalies. Contact 500-9966 for more details

The Hanford Nazarene Church invites the Community to their annual Community Easter egg hunt from 10am to noon, Saturday April 20th at Hidden Valley Park,11th avenue and Cortner Street. Children from preschool through 6th grade are invited to enjoy face painting, Freddie the Fire Truck, Sheriff Dog, American Ambulance/Paramedics, Hanford Police Dept.Swat team, Hanford Fire Department, games and a bounce house  The free event is funded by from sales of the Fireworks Booth(July 1-4) in front of the movies at the Hanford Mall.  For information call 923-1200.   

Kings County Historical Society will hold  an Italian Dinner consisting of pasta, sausage and homemade sauce accompanied by mixed green salad and dinner roll. This is a take-out dinner on April 26, 2019 at the Historic Grangeville Church, 14060 Hackett Street. Tickets are $12.50 per person and can be obtained from any Historical Society member or from Sharon Farr at farrsa@sbcglobal.net. Lemoore Church of the Nazarene will be holding a free Easter Egg hunt on Saturday, April 20 at 10:30 am at the Lemoore Church of Nazarene, located at 726 East D Street in Lemoore. There will be 10,000 plastic eggs for kids to find. We are having free drawings for Easter basket giveaways. Its for kids two-years to Sixth grade, but all is welcome to come. Hanford Garden Club 22nd Annual Garden Tour Saturday, April 27, 2019   9 a.m. - 3 p.m. rain or shine. We will be highlighting five gardens in Hanford with vendors and plant sale at another location. Tickets are $20 and may be purchased at Ramblin' Rose Florist in Lemoore, and An Enchanted Florist, Hofmans Nursery, Fonseca Nursery and Gonsalves-Fasso Florist in Hanford. Tickets may also be obtained from any Hanford Garden Club member or calling 707-1766 or 381-2689. All visitors attending tour must have a ticket. No strollers allowed.

National Day of Prayer

The 68th Annual National Day of Prayer will be held on Thursday, May 2 and Kings County will hold its 19th Annual observance at the Hanford Civic Auditorium. There will be a lunch served at 11:30 a.m. (tickets $13 pre-paid, $15 at the door). There will then be a free prayer program from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Keynote speaker is Don Orvis, former chaplain of the Denver Broncos, author and businessman. For info call (559) 707-8321 or 924-8301. Derby Day for the Garden will be held on Saturday, May 4th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Rancho Notso Grande located at 5051 12th Avenue in Hanford. This event benefits Children’s Storybook Garden & Museum. This is a 21-and-over event. Ticket price is $100. For more information call 500-9966

The American Legion Auxiliary is hosting their annual Poppy Luncheon on May 4th, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Veterans Memorial Hall at 401 N. Kings County Black History Committee presents Jazz & Crab Feed on Friday, May 17 at Hanford Carnegie Museum. Tickets are $65.  Kings United Way Funding Application

The funding application for Kings United Way has been released for 2019/20. Copies of the application are available online at www.kingsunitedway.org. Submission deadline is April 26, 2019 at 5:00 pm. Please see application for submission information. Applicants must be a non-profit organization providing health and human services in Kings County.
