Spirit Spectacular: Group

Cheerleaders from Selma Youth Cheer, Bandit and varsity cheer squads took part in the Oct. 27 Spirit Spectacular performance during the half-time show at Selma High’s football game against Exeter.

SELMA – Selma Youth Cheer, Bandit and varsity cheer squads continued to show support for the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation by wearing pink bows and using pink pom poms during their annual half-time Spirit Spectacular performance Oct. 27. The performance took place during the Selma High School/Exeter High football game.

The cheerleaders, ranging in age from 4 to 12 years of age, took part in a clinic Oct. 22. Cheer adviser Ann Fester oversaw the clinic where varsity cheer coach Priscilla Fester and Selma High varsity cheer squad taught dance material and choreography for the show.

“The combination of clinic and performance show turned out to be both exciting and fun for all the cheerleaders,” Ann Fester said. “I look forward for our 7th annual half-time Spirit Spectacular Show performance next year. Thank you to the cheer advisers and parents of the Pop Warner cheerleaders for your support. Go Bears.”
