Selma's 31st annual July 3 celebration was held Saturday evening.  An estimated 2,000 people attended the event which included music by the  David Aguallo Band, 10 food vendors serving everything from shredded beef tacos to bacon-wrapped hot dogs.  Also plenty of water, lemonade and snow cones were offered.

The event, co-sponsored by the City of Selma, the Selma Chamber of Commerce, and the Selma American Legion Post 12, has been a staple of community pride since 1990.
