KINGSBURG – There are multiple events families can take advantage of at your local Fresno County Library branches in both Kingsburg at 1399 Draper St. and Selma at 2200 Selma St.
In Kingsburg, Santa will be visiting the library from 6-7 p.m. Dec. 6. Families are welcomed to take photos with Santa and should bring their own cameras or smartphones to take pictures. A craft activity that day includes making holiday cards for a veteran. The cards will be sent out the next day through the Caring Kids Cards organization.
The Kingsburg branch is also currently hosting an animal shelter drive during the month of December for two local, no-kill facilities, PROUD and Pawsitive Connections. They are accepting newspapers, unopened animal food and treats, blankets and toys.
If patrons bring in an item for the animal drive, the library staff will provide a free Santa picture during the Santa event Dec. 6.
Other upcoming Kingsburg branch activities include preschool story time at 10:45 a.m. and a children’s craft from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Nov. 28. Storytime repeats on Dec. 5 and 12. The children’s craft repeats on Dec. 12. A Pokemon ornament-making craft is 4-5 p.m. and winter craft is 6-7 p.m. Dec. 13.
