Marine Corps League to honor U.S. Air Force
ARMONA — Marine Corps League Post 455 will host its 21st annual Memorial Day ceremony on Monday.
The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at the Grangeville Cemetery, located at 10428 14th Ave. in Armona. The program will focus on the history of the United States Air Force. A retired Air Force master sergeant will deliver the presentation.
About 20 new flags will be added to the Avenue of Flags this year, honoring local servicemen who died over the past year including two Marine Corps League members. The flags will be on display from late Saturday morning until Monday at about 4 p.m.

Memorial Day services slated at Oak Grove Cemetery
LATON — Oak Grove Cemetery will host its annual Memorial Day services and barbecue on Monday.
The services will be at 11 a.m. at the cemetery, located at 19811 Cedar St. in Laton. Guest speakers will include Congressman David Valadao and Lt. John Luckesen. A barbecue will be held following the program.
Lemoore hosting Memorial Day service, barbecue
LEMOORE — The Fleet Reserve Association, American Legion Post 100 and local Boy Scout troops will host a Memorial Day service at the Lemoore Cemetery on Monday.
The ceremony will start at 10 a.m. at the cemetery, located on Lemoore Avenue south of Spruce Avenue. This year’s guest speaker will be Capt. Monty G. Ashliman, commanding officer of Naval Air Station Lemoore.
A barbecue will be held Following the ceremony, at the Fleet Reserve, located at 788 East D St. The cost is $7 per person.
Corcoran vets groups to hold memorial ceremony
CORCORAN — A Memorial Day ceremony will be held Monday at the Corcoran District Cemetery.
The event, sponsored by American Legion Post 144 and VFW Post 6348, will begin at 10 a.m. The Corcoran High School Air Force JROTC cadets will conduct the program, including presentation of colors, as well as raising the flag and lowering to half staff. A POW-MIA all-services ceremony and a flag-folding ceremony will also be held.
The Avenue of Flags will be posted and graves of veterans will be marked with flags and crosses to commemorate Memorial Day.
The cemetery is located at 4170 Waukena Ave. in Corcoran.
