The Department of the Navy (DON) has completed the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) Five-Year Review for Installation Restoration (IR) Sites 1, 3, 8, and 16 at Naval Air Station (NAS) Lemoore, in Lemoore, California, south of Fresno, California. The DON conducted the Five Year Review in accordance with the requirements of CERCLA Section 121(c).

Protectiveness of the remedy was determined through document and data review, interviews, and site inspections. The DON found that the remedies at IR Sites 1, 3, 8, and 16 are currently protective of human health and the environment.

The next Five-Year Review for IR Sites 1, 3, 8, and 16 will be completed by February 2023. Questions or comments on the preparation of this CERCLA Five-Year Review or other DON environmental actions at the former NAS Lemoore may be directed to:
