Rural transit: New dispatch, same routes

Fresno County Rural Transit Agency will now have MV Transportation manage their routes and dispatching. The new number to call for rides is (855) 612-5184.

SELMA – A new company is coordinating route and dispatch service for the Fresno County Rural Transit Agency, however there will be no changes to the busing routes.

MV Transportation is the new route and dispatch provider. They started service on Sept. 4. The new phone number to call for rides is (855) 612-5184.

The Fresno County Rural Transit Agency (FCRTA) provides local and regional transit service to rural cities within Fresno County.

In 1979, FCRTA began operation with 20 vehicles and 13 subsystems. Today, the service has grown to 25 subsystems with 80 vehicles serving communities from Firebaugh to Coalinga and from Kingsburg to Orange Cove.
