Schedule a safety program for seniors

A new program is coming to Selma that aims to help them stay safe and independent.

The Central Valley Burn Prevention Coalition, in partnership with the Selma Fire Department, is bringing its Remembering When program to the Nick Medina Senior Center, retirement communities, senior mobile home parks and other areas in Selma where seniors are located.

The program includes a presentation giving seniors information on how to stay safe from fires, falls and other things that can cause injury. The events will include trivia games with prizes that will be given to seniors who score well. Seniors will also be given safety sheets to take home.

To schedule a presentation, email Selma Fire Department Public Education Coordinator Gerald Reeser at geraldr@cityofselma.com
