KINGSBURG – Another candidate has announced his bid for a seat on the Kingsburg City Council.
Nathan Williams announced July 30 that he will run for the District 1 seat.
Williams, 29, works in the health care field in his family’s skilled nursing business where they operate 19 facilities in the Central Valley and eight in Wisconsin.
“I am proud to be part of my family’s tradition of helping care for some of the most vulnerable people of our population,” he said.
Since Williams family members have lived in Kingsburg for nearly 150 years, Nathan Williams said he was glad to be able to return to his home town this past summer.
Williams was raised in Kingsburg and is engaged to Laura Banich, a fifth-grade teacher at Reagan Elementary.
He is the co-community leader for Kingsburg 4-H and serves as the vice president for the 4-H County Leadership Council. He is also a member of the Kingsburg Lions Club and Reedley Rotary.
“It has been a blessing to be able to return to the Valley after establishing my career in Indiana and to give back to some of the organizations that have given so much to me.”
Williams said he’s looking forward to meeting his neighbors and talking about issues such as public safety, financial responsibility and sustainable economic growth.
“I believe these issues are pivotal in our community and look forward to hearing the perspective of the citizens of Kingsburg to enable me to highlight the desires of District 1.”
