KINGSBURG – Three juveniles were arrested on suspicion of attempting to steal a car and wallet from a man who was sitting in his vehicle on the 2300 block of 19th Avenue.
According to a Kingsburg Police Department report, the victim was sitting in his vehicle about 8 a.m. Sept. 7 when he heard a tap on his window. Two men brandished handguns, demanded his wallet and keys and attempted to steal the victim’s car. They were unsuccessful and fled to a waiting vehicle.
Kingsburg officers spotted the suspects’ vehicle as it was leaving town. Fresno County Sheriff’s Department, Selma Police Department and Parlier Police Department officers also pursued the suspects who were then arrested.
Kingsburg Police recovered all of the victim’s property, as well as two handguns and a stolen vehicle.
All three juveniles were arrested and taken to Fresno County Juvenile Justice Center.
