Both Selma and Kingsburg have sites available for free disposal of your discarded Christmas trees.
Kingsburg residents may drop off Christmas trees at Mid Valley Disposal for the two weeks following Dec. 25 at no charge. Residents must provide a driver’s license and/or utility bill in order to drop trees off, however.
Please ensure all decorations and metal stands have been removed before dropping off your tree. Residents may also cut their tree in half and place it in the green waste container and it will be picked up as scheduled. All decorations and metal stands must be removed first.
Resident may also have Christmas trees picked up by Mid Valley for a $5 fee for trees six feet and shorter and for $10 for trees taller than six feet.
Call Mid Valley Disposal at 237-9425 for details.
If residents have oversized boxes and other holiday-related recyclables, those may be taken to the City Yard free of charge. The address is 1200 Kern St.
