Selma and Kingsburg are getting set for spring cleaning by hosting free waste drop-off days for residents. Here are the details for each community.
Waste Management is hosting the Spring Cleaning drop off week for Selma residents from April 22-27. Bulky, household and green waste may be disposed of at this time.
Items may be dropped off from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday, April 22 through Friday, April 26. Additional hours are 6 a.m. to noon on Saturday April 27. The location is 5608 S. Villa Ave., Fresno. The drop-off is 8.4 miles north of Selma off the Golden State Boulevard.
Please bring a current copy of Waste Management billing statement or your California Driver’s License for address verification.
Households may drop off a maximum of one load and a maximum of one-ton pickups will be accepted. Multi-family property owners must provide a list of property addresses when disposing.

Mid Valley Disposal will provide the two-week clean-up event for their community.
The clean-up days are 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 22 through May 4 at 1535 Avenue 392. They are closed on Sundays. Details available at 897-5217.
Bring proof of residency within city limits such as your driver’s license or city utility bill and an email for reporting purposes.
Accepted items include:
Green waste: tree limbs should be cut into four-foot lengths; leaves, lawn clippings; clean wood without oil, paint or nails.
Metal: Clean auto parts, scrap metal.
Miscellaneous: Mattresses, furniture, household trash.
Appliances: Refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers.
Accepted with an additional charge:
Car tires: $7 each.
Tractor tires: $15 each.
Electronic devices (towers, printers, speakers, keyboards, cell phones): $5 each.
Flat-screen televisions 30 inches and larger: $15 each.
Flat-screen televisions 30 inches and smaller: $8 each.
Not accepted items:
Cement or concrete
Fluorescent bulbs or tubes
