PRIZEWEEK CONTEST RULES

1. Solve the “Prizeweek” puzzle by filling in the missing letters to make the words that you think best fit the clues. To do this read each clue carefully for you must think
each one out and give every word its true meaning. The correct answers (and some incorrect ones, too) are included in the Word List.
2. You need not be a subscriber to this newspaper to enter. You may submit as many entries as you wish. No copies of the entry blank will be accepted, whether they are
hand-drawn or mechanically produced (printed, mimeographed, etc.) Only entries clipped from the newspaper will be accepted.
3. Anyone is eligible to enter except employees of The Hanford Sentinel, their families or agents of the newspaper, or employees of WestAmerica Bank or their families,
or the Hanford/Corcoran Cost Less Food Company employees or their families.
4. Each entry must be received by Wednesday of this week. Entries may be hand-delivered to the Cost Less Food Company at 102 S. 11th Avenue in Hanford no later
than 10 p.m. Wednesday or Corcoran by Tuesday at 12 noon or delivered to the Hanford Sentinel no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday. Mailed entries to the Sentinel
received after 5 p.m. Wednesday will not be counted.
5. The Hanford Sentinel will award the cash amount shown above to the contestant who sends or brings in to the Hanford Cost Less Food Company an all-correct solution.
If more than one all-correct solution is received, the prize money will be shared equally. Beginning with the October 8, 2010 puzzle, prize payouts will not exceed $2,000.
6. If no all-correct solutions are received, $25 will be added to the following week’s prize as well as another $25 to the subscriber bonus up to $500 maximum.
7. The final decision of the judges is final and all contestants agree to abide by the judges’ decision. All entries become the property of this newspaper. Only one prize will
be awarded to a family unit.
8. Everyone has the same opportunity to win, for every entry will be checked, and the winner announced. No claiming is necessary.
9. Drop entries in the “Prizeweek” box at the Cost Less Food Company in Hanford or mail to: BIG BUCKS PRIZEWEEK, THE HANFORD SENTINEL, P.O. BOX 9,
HANFORD, CA 93232.
10. The correct solution to this week’s Prizeweek game will be published the following Friday. Winners if any, will be announced the same day.
11. The Hanford Sentinel reserves the right to correct any typographical errors which may appear during the puzzle game. Winners must allow the use of their names and
photographs for publicity purposes.
12. The sealed correct solution will be kept in safekeeping by WestAmerica Bank.
