PUBLIC NOTICE
VACANCY OF AND PROVISIONAL APPOINTMENT
TO THE GOVERNING BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE SELMA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
NOTICE IS HEREBY given pursuant to Education Code
section 5092 of the State of California that due to the
resignation of Board Member Mark Falcon, filed with
the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools on
December 21, 2018 and effective as of February 6, 2019,
a provisional appointment pursuant to Education Code
section 5091 has been made.
On February 6, 2019, the Governing Board of Trustees
(Board) of the Selma Unified School District made
a provisional appointment of Karl Salazar to the
Board. Unless a petition calling for a special election,
containing a sufficient number of signatures, is filed in
the office the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools,
1111 Van Ness Avenue, Fresno, California, 93721-2000
within 30 days of the date of the provisional appointment,
it shall become an effective appointment.
