Hanford native Mark Lee will be honored by the city of Hanford by receiving the key to the city in a ceremony slated for Aug. 25.
After graduating from Hanford High in 1976 then attending Washington, Lee went on to have a 12-year career in the NFL, mostly with the Green Bay Packers.
This past month, Lee was inducted into the Packers’ Hall of Fame. On the same day, city officials also proclaimed it Mark Lee Day in Hanford.
The ceremony will be held at the Longfield Community Center at 560 S. Douty Street. The public is invited to attend a meet and greet from 4:45 - 6 p.m.
