LEMOORE — The West Yosemite League played their 18-hole area qualifier at Lemoore Golf Course on Thursday and when everything was said and done, four teams had advanced.
Lemoore, Hanford, Golden West and Redwood will all move on to team golf championships, with Lemoore and Redwood in Division II and Hanford and Golden West in Division III.
Lemoore and Redwood had to shoot 525 or lower to qualify, which both did with flying colors. Redwood shot a 490, but it was the Tigers that shot the lowest 18 holes on the day, leading everyone with a 482.
Maggie Benn shot a team-low 90 for Lemoore with a 44 on the front nine and a 46 on the back nine.
Hanford and Golden West needed to 575 or below. Hanford shot a 550 and Golden West a 509. Hanford's Jillian Shipp shot a team-low 94 to help her team advance with a 45 on the front nine and a 49 on the back nine.
El Diamante (660), Mt. Whitney (592) and Hanford West (708) — all Division III schools — missed the cut and their seasons are over.
The Division III team golf championships will be on Monday at Valley Oaks Golf Course. The championship will feature 13 schools and 78 players. The schools will tee off at 10 a.m. for 18 holes and will be vying for an individual champion as well as a school champion.
The Division II schedule is still being worked on and should be finalized over the weekend.
