Our schools here in Selma Unified are places where excellence in academics are expected. As I visit schools and classrooms, I see students who are engaged and learning, dedicated teachers providing rigorous and challenging lessons, and parents and volunteers who partner with us to ensure that our students receive the best possible education.

I am pleased to say that this success is supported by the visionary leadership of our School Board, and the trust that they have extended to me, in guiding the work of our administrators and teachers in achieving our Mission to prepare all students to be contributing members of society. The Board and I would like to thank you for your support in the passage of Measure O, and to let you know that we are moving forward with plans for school improvements that ensure that our students have access to 21st Century learning environments that promote college and career readiness. A Townhall meeting is being planned to share information about our progress, so please stay tuned.

We welcome visitors to our schools, and invite you to come and see the wonderful things occurring in your classrooms. This can be done by contacting the school office to arrange a date and time for your visit.

Thank you for your ongoing support, as we continue to work together to make Selma Unified the premier District in California.
