On June 7th, the citizens of State Center Community College District will have an opportunity to vote “Yes on Measure C.” This $485 million facilities bond will improve all SCCCD campuses with up-to-date technology, ADA accessibility, instructional equipment, and improve classrooms, labs and equipment for career education programs.

The Bond Measure is an outcome of more than five years of planning which started with the preparation of a Facilities Master Plan.

At Reedley College, the bond will provide a new centralized agricultural complex to house state-of-the-art learning environments for training students for careers in today’s agriculture. It will expand and modernize the Life Science building to accommodate existing programs and add new academic programs in the physical sciences, dental assisting and the nursing programs. It will also provide matching funds for a performing arts center to create higher education opportunities for local artists with a facility that serves the whole community.

Reedley College campus was built in 1956 and needs major repair and upgrade of aging classrooms and infrastructure. The vocational classrooms and labs must be modernized to meet the changing workforce needs of the global economy.

Reedley College currently serves nearly 10,000 students, from Dinuba, Fowler, Immanuel, Kingsburg, Parlier, Orange Cove, Reedley, Sanger, and Selma. We owe it to our students, communities, and stakeholders to fulfill all dreams of higher education, especially for veterans who have served our Country.

Let’s make an investment and provide our students with the educational facilities they need.

Please vote “Yes on Measure C.”
