SELMA – Joshua Joseph Hernandez, 26, of Selma, has been charged by the Selma Police Department with the murder of Cory Smith, 25.
Police officers first responded to a 911 call shortly after 5:30 a.m. on March 6 to the 2500 block of McCall Avenue. Smith was found suffering from apparent stab wounds and was rushed to a local hospital. He succumbed to his injuries, however.
After investigating, Selma Police officers charged Hernandez with homicide. Hernandez had been taken into custody earlier for probation violations related to this case. The additional murder charges were added late yesterday, March 12.
