SELMA – The Selma Arts Center is having auditions for “The Little Mermaid” from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, and Tuesday, Feb. 6, with callbacks at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7.

“Mermaid” is based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories and the classic animated films. This fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs including “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World.”

The show is rated 'G' and all ages are welcomed to audition. Some children will be cast in ensemble roles. Performers may make appointments for any available slot via Sign Up Genius at Those without an appointment will be seen as time permits. Come prepared with 16 to 32 bars of a pop or Broadway-style musical selection. Bring sheet music for a provided accompanist or accompanying tracks. A singing and reading round, as well as a light choreography round, will be required at callbacks.
