Lemoore − People gathered at Kings Christian School Friday morning before classes to honor military members, first responders and 9/11 victims with songs and prayers. The community stood in silence by the cross near the school's football field.

First responders including members of the California Highway Patrol and American Ambulance attended the event.

A lone MH-60s helicopter from Naval Air Station Lemoore flew in tribute over the school at the closing moments of the ceremony. Read more about 9/11 on Page C4.
