LEMOORE — The Lemoore City Council will discuss welcome signage during its regular meeting on Tuesday.
At the April 18 city council meeting, councilman Jeff Chedester asked city staff to look into providing a welcome sign for the city, saying many other cities have them and he thought it would be nice for Lemoore to have one too.
The council will also discuss the city’s cost allocation plan and award a bid for a slurry seal street project to fix Lemoore streets.
Slurry seal is a mixture added to existing asphalt pavement surfaces to extend the life of heavily traveled roads. Different roadways in the city have been identified as needing the slurry seal, including sections of Belle Haven Drive and 19th Avenue.
The council will also vote on a request to change the general plan land use designation from “professional office” to “light industrial” in one of the city’s zones, and zoning amendments in various chapters of the city’s municipal code.
During closed session, the council is set to discuss the appointment or employment of an interim city manager.
There will be a study session at 5:30 p.m. with the council reviewing the proposed 2017-2018 fiscal year budget.
