HANFORD — Hanford police officials say they responded to more than 20 vehicles with smashed windows in the early morning hours on Thursday.
Officers said the vandalism occurred in the northeast and southeast areas of Hanford between 1 and 3 a.m.
Based on evidence obtained at the locations, officers said they believe the suspects approached the vehicles and used a baseball bat, or similar item, to break the vehicle windows.
According to police, it did not appear anything was removed from the vehicles and these crimes were purely acts of vandalism.
Officers have obtained information on a possible suspect vehicle and are actively investigating.
