HANFORD — The Hanford Police Department said a man arrested for a minor drug charge Monday is facing additional charges after Kings County Jail authorities found a syringe full of heroin taped to the inside of his sweatpants.
Around 12:39 a.m., officers went to the 200 block of West Terrace Street for a report of a man who had hopped a fence and was trying to enter a home. Police said Blain Hladon, 24, of Hanford, was sitting in front of the home and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.
Hladon was arrested and booked into the Kings County Jail on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
During the booking process, police said, authorities found a syringe loaded with heroin taped inside the crotch area of his sweatpants. As a result, he was also booked on suspicion of bringing narcotics into the jail and possession of heroin. His bail was set at $35,000.
