LEMOORE — The Lemoore Police Department recently conducted an operation that led to several citations and one arrest.
Lemoore Police Department officials said they conducted an “ABC Shoulder Tap Operation” on Sept. 1 and 2, which used minors as decoys who asked adults to purchase alcohol for them.
During the operations, police said Cesar Hernandez, 30, and Alejandro Quintero, 25, both from Lemoore, were cited for the misdemeanor violation.
Officials said the operation also led to the arrest of 30-year-old Homar Ramirez from Riverdale, who was under the influence of a controlled substance and in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cuauhtemoc Marmolejo, 22, from Laton, who is on Kings County Probation, was also cited during the operation for being in possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Upon learning of underage minors attempting to purchase alcohol, several store employees and owners of various businesses reported the activity to the police and told the minors to leave the area, police said.
The Lemoore Police Department thanked these businesses for their active participation in keeping the youth safe.
