LEMOORE —Authorities are looking for the perpetrators of a drive-by shooting in Lemoore that happened on Sunday evening.

Officers on a call at C Street heard multiple gunshots coming from the 200 block of West D Street at 9:42 p.m. Around that time, a 911 call came in, saying that the occupants of an “older, white four-door vehicle” were shooting at a group of teenagers, according to a news release.

The victims allegedly ran toward Wells Fargo and left the area. Police could not locate them.

Investigators spotted a car matching the suspect’s description at South Lemoore Avenue and Highway 198. They attempted to pull the car over, but the driver refused to stop, officials said.

Police chased the vehicle to the 16000 block of Jersey Avenue. All the occupants of the vehicle bailed out and scattered. Authorities searched the area with assistance from the Kings County Sheriff’s Office, but could not locate anyone.
