Senator Vidak's 2018 Career and Resource Expo: Jan. 25, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tachi Palace Resort and Casino, 17225 Jersey Ave., Lemoore. Last year's Expo featured over 85 employers, and over 400 job applicants attended. In addition to employers with jobs to fill, San Joaquin Valley College  will be providing job-seekers with free career development workshops at the Expo. Short-term work experience program: The Kings County Job Training Office is supporting a short-term work experience program. JTO can fully underwrite the cost of worker wages and workers compensation insurance. The participating employer would provide training and worksite supervision. The training is planned to run for a maximum six months. Worksites are sought to sponsor a worker for up to 40 hours per week.
